DIY Vintage-Inspired Pantyhose Pumpkin

Gather your supplies:  Organza and satin and lace ribbon.  The different textures will add to its charm.  Sheer black decorative pattern pantyhose, vintage jewelry, scissors, clear glue...

Fold your ribbon in half and start twisting and turning in a circular motion continually to create your rosettes to your desired size.  Then place glue on the backside and add a piece of clean ribbon on top of glue on backside to hold it all in place... Now make a bow for the top of your pumpkin and set these aside... Now place your pumpkin inside the pantyhose and cut with some additional hose so that you can tie and secure it...
Now it's time to decorate your pumpkin with the rosettes that you've created, the bow that you made and the vintage jewelry you've gathered and start placing them at the top to hide the tied pantyhose to give it a finished look...

Place little pearls inside your rosettes to give it an added touch...
Place a small amount of circular ribbon on the bottom where you tied the hose to finish it off.  And there you have it.  A Vintage Inspired Pumpkin for your romantic cottage or castle!

This is so pretty! I never would have thought of panty hose! Although, I have to tell you that I had hunted down some of those fancier ones for myself a few years ago. I love wearing them! Love the embellishments, too. Visiting from Met Monday! : )

So happy you linked up at A Crafty Soiree! I'm sorry I'm a bit tardy in making all my visits. I was out late last night and we had a terrible rain storm when I got home. Not good weather for using the computer!

I love how it came out and will admit to being a little skeptical when I saw the words pantyhose and pumpkin in the same title. All the little doodads added on top really elevate the whole thing to fabulous. Thanks for sharing and I hope you'll join us for the newest one, it started today.
